Desolation

Sitting in a chair,
in the middle of the street,
when the sleep is hard to come by,
Far away from my dreams,
talking to another desolate, needy guy
sitting at the sidewalk.

Sitting in a chair,
in the middle of the street,
when the sleep is hard to come by,
beneath the semi - closed pavement of ceiling,
loaded with wires, hoardings and lighted up with incandescently lights.
Poking up my brain's hippocampus.

On of a sudden, moonlight flickers on my face,
which broke my signals with my own musings,
and again started, muttering to that guy,
in such a tone that only I can hear what I said to him .

This post was written in response to  What do you see #48. I thank Sadje for hosting this challenge. The challenge was to write a poem or a prose on the picture provided.

Thank you!
